Product Description

INCI Name: Cyclopentasiloxane (and) PEG/PPG-18/18 Dimethicone

This product is a high-molecular-weight polyether silicone oil dispersed in cyclopentasiloxane, specifically designed as a dispersing agent for W/O formulations. As a dispersing aid for both polar and non-polar raw materials in the formulation, it enables non-polar ingredients to dissolve in the silicone oil phase while polar ingredients dissolve in the aqueous phase.

Applications

This product can be used in a variety of personal care products, including cosmetics (makeup), skincare, sunscreen, deodorants and antiperspirants.

Usage

• Slowly add the aqueous phase into the oil phase under rapid stirring, and stir thoroughly. Increasing the stirring speed can improve the stability of the water-in-oil emulsion system. Increasing the aqueous phase ratio will raise the viscosity of the system.
• The product should be mixed well before use.
• Using a homogenizer can enhance the stability of the emulsion system.
• Adding an electrolyte solution (1-2% sodium chloride) to the aqueous phase can improve the storage stability of the emulsion system.
• If the formulation does not contain solid raw materials, emulsification can be done at room temperature.

Recommended Usage: The recommended dosage is 4-12% (based on total formulation).
