Product Description

Water repellent exterior coat (ALOS-SILI-208) is a fast-curing, solvent-soluble silicone-based water repellent exterior coat with 30% to 50% reactive silane and siloxane content. It provides a colorless, water-repellent finish for mineral construction materials without significantly reducing water vapor permeability. It is also suitable for coating painted surfaces as it does not alter the substrate's color.  It delivers excellent protection for all types of cement and stone surfaces, and imparts water repellency within 8 hours of application, with further improvement over the next 48 hours.

Usage

Dilute ALOS-SILI-208  at a 1:5 ratio (parts by weight) using petroleum-based solvents such as mineral turpentine oil, diesel, aromatic, or chlorinated solvents. Ensure the substrate is air-dry and absorbent before application. Apply one or two liberal coats with a brush or spray, depending on the substrate's porosity.

Storage and Shelf Life

When stored below 35 °C in its original, unopened container and kept away from direct sunlight, the product remains usable for 6 months from the date of manufacture. As the product is moisture-sensitive, always keep the cap tightly sealed or add a solvent to maintain quality.
