ALOS-SILI-210 is a reactive silicone emulsion specifically formulated to enhance water-repellent properties on various substrates. It is suitable for use on textiles and fibers, paper, wood and wood products, gypsum board, plywood, particle board, powders, firefighting foams, and insulating materials.

Usage

ALOS-SILI-210 is typically applied as a diluted solution. To prepare, dilute the emulsion with distilled water, stirring gently until a uniform mixture is achieved. The degree of dilution depends on the substrate and desired surface properties. Ensure the solution remains acidic, as an alkaline pH may result in the release of hydrogen gas.

Curing: Coatings of ALOS-SILI-210 emulsion are generally heat-cured to achieve optimal water repellency. Recommended curing temperatures range from 120 °C to 175 °C. With the addition of a catalyst at a typical ratio of 20:1 (emulsion to catalyst), curing times are approximately 4-5 minutes at 150 °C or 30-40 seconds at 180 °C.

Storage, Shelf Life and Handling

• Store in the original container in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight.
• Shelf Life: Six months in the original unopened container.
• Follow standard safety precautions, including the use of gloves and safety goggles, when handling the product.
