Application	1-Methoxy-3-Trimethylsiloxy-13-Butadiene serves as a versatile reagent in various synthetic applications It is primarily used in the Mannich-Michael reaction to produce piperidinones and enaminones Additionally it acts as a functionalized Diels-Alder diene in the formation of pyridones and pyranones This compound is also involved in the synthesis of sulfone analogues akin to griseofulvin known as sulfogriseofulvins as well as 4H-1-aminopyrroles and 45H-pyrazoles The compound also referred to as Danishefsky's diene has been explored in a Mukaiyama-Michael-type addition/heterocyclization with 12-diaza-13-butadiene and in asymmetric hetero-Diels-Alder cyclizations with benzaldehyde facilitated by mesoporous inorganic/metal-organic hybrid catalysts
