Application | (3-Iscyanatopropyl)Triethoxysilane is a versatile isocyanate functional silane primarily utilized in the development of antistatic adhesives and liquid crystal display devices Its key purpose lies in its ability to functionalize a wide range of compounds that contain active hydrogen atoms Upon contact with moisture it hydrolyzes to form silanols which can further react to create siloxanes This compound is particularly effective as a crosslinker in one-part moisture-curable urethane adhesives sealants and coatings and serves as an adhesion promoter in both one-part moisture-curable and two-part reactive urethane systems Additionally it enhances the adhesion of silicone sealants and coatings to organic substrates with active hydrogen atoms Its utility extends to providing robust wet adhesion to glass metal and other inorganic surfaces offering excellent thermal chemical and UV stability Compared to alternatives like SiSiB® PC2710 (3-Iscyanatopropyl)Triethoxysilane hydrolyzes more slowly making it preferable for applications that require prolonged open time or improved shelf stability |
Storage | Moisture Sensitive. Ambient temperatures. |
