Application | N-(Triethoxysilylpropyl)urea, also known as 3-Ureidopropyltriethoxysilane, is a versatile product that can be used as a silicon source with potassium hydrogen phthalate as a doping agent in the preparation of water-soluble SiNPs using a one-step hydrothermal strategy. This compound is compatible with various types of resins including epoxy, phenolic, urea-formaldehyde, polyurethane, polyamide, melamine, and polyvinyl butyral adhesives. It serves as an adhesion promoter, surface modifier, cross-linking agent, and dispersant, enhancing the binding force, compatibility, and water resistance of inorganic mineral powder materials and fibers to high molecular polymers. N-(Triethoxysilylpropyl)urea finds applications in industries such as engineering rubber and plastic modification, paints, coatings, inks, casting resins, adhesives, sealants, glass fibers, and abrasives, among others. |
