Description | The purpose of making silicone oil is to produce polymers that are basically linear in various ranges of average kinematic viscosity. It is highly soluble in organic solvents such as aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and halogenated hydrocarbon propellants used in aerosols. The liquid is easy to emulsify the emulsifier in water and conventional emulsification technology under standard conditions, but it is insoluble in water and many organic products. It is usually used to formulate polishing agents with a viscosity between 100 and 30,000 cst. For best results, Considering the ease of use and the depth of gloss, it is preferred to use a mixture of low-viscosity liquid and high-viscosity liquid (for example, 3 parts of 100cst and 1 part of 12,500cst). Low-viscosity silicone oil can be used as a lubricant to make polishing and brushing easier. Silicone oils with high viscosity and higher viscosity can produce greater gloss. Because these polymers are inherently water-repellent, they will cause water to bead on the treated surface instead of polishing the polished film on the surface. |
