Hydrophobic Precipitated Silica ALOS-PS-007

Hydrophobic precipitated silica ALOS-PS-007 is a surface-treated, precipitated hydrated silicon dioxide produced by modifying high-purity precipitated silica with a high-hydrogen silicone oil. Through an advanced surface-encapsulation process, the silica particles are uniformly coated, giving the product excellent hydrophobicity and enhanced compatibility with a wide range of organic and polymer systems. The material appears as a fluffy, fine white powder with uniform particle size and a high specific surface area. Thanks to its surface-wrapped structure, ALOS-PS-007 exhibits outstanding moisture resistance, improved dispersibility, and superior reinforcing performance in various formulations. These features make it a versatile functional additive in a wide range of industrial formulations.

Applications

• Fire extinguishing agents: In dry powder and specialty fire extinguishing agents, ALOS-PS-007 is used as a flow aid and anti-caking agent. Its hydrophobic surface prevents moisture absorption, ensuring that the extinguishing powder remains free-flowing and does not agglomerate during storage or use.
• Defoamers: In defoamer formulations, ALOS-PS-007 acts as an efficient carrier and performance enhancer. Its hydrophobicity allows it to disrupt foam films quickly and persist at the air–liquid interface, leading to rapid foam collapse and long-lasting defoaming action.
• Coatings: In paints and coatings, this product can be used as a thickening agent or modifier to adjust the viscosity and gloss of the coating. In addition, its hydrophobic surface enhances moisture resistance and durability of the coating film, contributing to better water repellency and long-term protection of the coated substrate.

Packaging

Standard packaging is 20 kg heavy-duty polyethylene (HDPE) bags. In addition, we provide customized packaging options to accommodate specific customer requirements, including alternative bag sizes and special labeling.
